Work with a partner.

Your task is to ask and answer questions until you find the one time when you are both available. Use a range of future forms as naturally as possible.

Start the conversation

A: Are you free to meet next week?

B: I’ll have to check my diary. I think I’m pretty booked up.

A: Let’s see if we can find a time when we’re both free.

Useful language

  • Are you free on…?
  • What are you doing on…?
  • I’m meeting…
  • I’m going to…
  • I’ll be…
  • I’ve got…
  • Sorry, I’m busy then.
  • That won’t work for me.
  • How about…?
  • Does … suit you?
  • Yes, I’m free then.
  • Great! Let’s meet then.

Keep asking questions until you find the only time that works for both of you.
