Tell me about the last time you felt …

embarrassed relieved awkward anxious fascinated satisfied frustrated exhausted impressed thrilled

When your partner answers, listen carefully and ask one or two follow-up questions to find out more. Try to keep the conversation going for at least one minute before moving on to the next question.

You can use some of these follow-up questions:

  • What happened?
  • Why did you feel that way?
  • Who were you with?
  • Where were you?
  • How long did you feel like that?
  • What did you do next?
  • How did it end?
  • Has anything similar happened since?
  • Would you do anything differently now?

Remember to ask your own follow-up questions too if they are appropriate. Be interested in your partner’s experiences and try to have a natural conversation.

If you do not have a speaking partner, you can talk to the AI chatbot. They will ask you questions about the last time you felt these ways.
